The son of a legendary Irish country music star has revealed he is heartbroken after losing both his parents and his beloved partner in one year.
Dermot McBride, son of the famous Big Tom McBride, has been left devastated after the deaths of his father and mother followed by that of his partner Rita Bogdanova who died unexpectedly in November while giving birth to their daughter Adelina.
The Monaghan man's mother Rose passed away in January last year and sadly his father then died in April 2018.
Dermot was shaken by the loss but was supported by his loving partner Rita.
In a heartbreaking tragedy, Rita also passed away in November at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda while giving birth to the couple's daughter, Adelina.

Speaking to The Sunday World, he said:"She was starting her labour and I was with her. She was talking away one minute... and then she was just gone in seconds.
"I am still waiting for the final results of what the cause was.
"The wee girl is sleeping all through the night now, which is great. I put her down at 9.30-10.30pm and she won't wake up until 6.30-7am."
Dermot who is a farmer and a musician, revealed he has found it tough caring for his three children by himself.

He said: "It's been difficult with our boy and two wee girls to look after.
"Our son, Ciaran, is going on 15, then there's Amelia who is seven, and the baby, Adelina."

He explained: "We kept it from him until the very last. He was having his own problems. He was pretty sick at the time when my mother passed."
