Son of former Mayor Richard M. Daley getting married on Sunday

The entire Daley family is expected to gather at Theater on the Lake Sunday for the wedding of Patrick Daley, son of former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley.

Patrick Daley’s bride is Tara Flocco, former fiancee of Alexi Giannoulias, the former Illinois state treasurer who lost a bid for the U.S. Senate to Mark Kirk in 2010.

The happy couple apparently have been dating for some time, Sneed has learned.

Patrick Daley, 44, enlisted in the Army in 2004 after receiving his MBA with honors from the University of Chicago.

An avid bodybuilder, he survived a tour of duty in Afghanistan, serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was placed on inactive duty in late 2008. He subsequently returned to Chicago and eventually settled in Russia, becoming fluent in the language.

He also was tied to some City Hall deals. He was a secret investor in a sewer company with city contracts; that company violated a city ordinance by failing to disclose Daley’s investment.
