A son of the former long-serving chairman of fashion giant N Brown, who is also its largest shareholder, has upped his stake in the listed group which includes the likes of Jacamo, Simply Be and JD Williams.
Joshua Alliance, son of Lord David Alliance, now has a 6.21% holding in the Manchester-headquartered group, up from 4.61%.
Mr Alliance is a non-executive director in N Brown and is a former student at the University of Manchester.
The entrepreneur and investor also currently holds board positions at Spark Beyond, SimilarWeb, Woo.io and Moon Active.
He has previously been on the boards of PetsPyjamas, Spot.IM and WorkAngel Technology.
N Brown's brands also include Home Essentials and Ambrose Wilson.
Lord Alliance was appointed a director and chairman of N Brown in 1968, standing down in 2012.
He is also the co-founder and former chairman of Coats Viyella and was appointed a life peer in 2004.
Lord Alliance is the largest shareholder in N Brown, with a 40% stake.
