Son Of Dominican Politician Shot Dead In Houston Gas Station

A gas station is seen out of gas in Washington

A tragic incident unfolded at a Houston gas station on Monday when Luis Alfredo Pacheco Rojas, 34, the son of Alfredo Pacheco, the president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Dominican Republic, was shot and killed. Rojas, who was known in the music industry as 'El Pikante,' was leaving a gas station with two other men when they were ambushed by three suspects in a black SUV, a Dodge Charger, and a Mercedes-Benz.

The suspects opened fire on the victims before fleeing the scene, leaving Rojas fatally wounded. He was rushed to Ben Taub General Hospital but was pronounced dead. Another victim was also injured and taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The Houston Police Department is actively investigating the incident and has reached out to Alfredo Pacheco to provide updates on the case. Surveillance images of the three suspects have been released, showing two of them carrying what appeared to be firearms.

Alfredo Pacheco expressed his grief over the loss of his son in a statement, thanking friends and colleagues for their support during this difficult time. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear as detectives continue their efforts to piece together the events leading up to the tragic incident.

This senseless act of violence has shocked the community and raised concerns about public safety. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects or the shooting to come forward and assist in the investigation.
