Son Heung-min reveals how Tottenham dressing room reacted to West Ham collapse

Son Heung-min says he and his Tottenham teammates were left 'devastated' by their collapse against West Ham.

Spurs led 3-0 until the 82nd minute against the Hammers but still only came away with a point after a stunning comeback from the visitors.

A brace from Harry Kane and a goal from Son put Tottenham three up within 16 minutes but West ham completed their late comeback with a sensational long-range strike from Manuel Lanzini four minutes into stoppage time after Fabian Balbuena's effort and an own goal from Davinson Sanchez.

Many of Jose Mourinho's men collapsed to the ground after watching Lanzini's dramatic leveller fly in, and that about summed up the mood after the game, according to Son.

“The lads are devastated for the result, of course," he told Sky Sports. "I think we deserved three points and we played really well until the last 10 minutes. It’s a big shock and the lads are devastated.

“That’s football. It should never happen, but this is football. I don’t wanna feel this again, I think this is a good lesson for us.

“We dominated the game from the start and scored an early goal. We controlled the game, we had a couple of more chances to score, but when we score three goals at home, we can’t drop the points.

"The last goal, the strike was just unbelievable. Everyone is so sad to lose the two points.

“I would like to celebrate now and get three points, but it happens.”
