Someone threw £2,500-worth of cannabis from a car window as they tried to get away from police

A bag of drugs worth £2,500 was thrown from a car window after a driver failed to stop for police in Longsight.

The bag of cannabis was thrown from a vehicle on Albert Place after it fled from police officers.

Police said the drugs would be worth around £2,500 at street value.

A picture posted on the GMP Longsight and Moss Side Facebook page shows dozens of snapbags of cannabis as well as a black carrier bag full of the class B drug.

Alongside the picture, a GMP officer urged the owner of the bag and its content to get in touch.

The post read: "FOUND - 1 Bag full of cannabis, street value approx £2500 - thrown from a vehicle on Albert Place in Longsight after failing to stop for Police.

"If you are the owner of the bag and its contents please get in touch."
