Mancunians woke up to a blanket of thick fog on Sunday morning.
Buildings seemed to disappear from view as the low lying clouds descended on the region.
TfGM warned motorists to take extra care and allow extra time for their journeys due to the poor visibility.
The transport body said the fog was affecting 'most parts' of the region.
Social media users posted about the dense fog on Twitter.

John Stait posted photos of his view from Millenium Tower near Anchorage in Salford Quays.
He wrote: "Someone has pinched Manchester! That is some fog this morning. Morning all."
And List at Capital tweeted: "The fog in Manchester city centre at the moment is so thick!"

Another Twitter user said: "It’s foggy outside and I’m not entirely sure I know how I feel about fog!"
The Met Office posted photos from M60 traffic cameras, showing the motorway obscured by fog.
They warned people to 'take care whilst driving'.
