Someone has drawn obscene images on almost every panel of a children's playground

Nearly every panel at a children's playground in Swansea has been covered with "obscene" graffiti.

Someone has drawn the images of male genitalia on the play equipment in Townhill , leaving those who visit furious.

Parents have avoided going to the park, which is near The Phoenix community centre, since the attack, as they don't want their children witnessing the vandalism.

Fia Raees said: "Why would anyone do this? Disgusting and sick.

"This is a little play area for children just outside Townhill Libray. This obscene graffiti is everywhere there.

"Shame on the one who did it."

Alice Hinder added: "It makes my blood boil. I wish the council would do something about this park.

"It's a local park and I hate taking my kid to it."

Lisa Ridd commented: "One day it will be their kids wanting to go to the park and play on those swings. Absolutely shocking."

Many others agreed, calling the graffiti "disgusting".

The graffiti has been scrawled across the panels on the climbing frames, as well as at the top of the slide.

South Wales Police confirmed it was aware of the vandalism and urged anyone who had information on the person or people who committed the damage to contact the local policing team.

Swansea Council said it had not received reports of the graffiti until Thursday but that its graffiti removal team had visited the site to remove it after being made aware of it.
