Some Spurs fans are saying the same thing about Giovani Lo Celso and Christian Eriksen

It has been quite the first half for Giovani Lo Celso in Tottenham's clash with Red Star Belgrade this evening (Wednesday).

Handed his first start in the Champions League for Spurs , the Argentine marked it with a goal after finishing off a goalmouth scramble to open the scoring for Mauricio Pochettino's men in Belgrade.

It capped a strong first half display from the Argentine, who is on loan at Spurs from Real Betis, after coming into the side in the place of Christian Eriksen, who dropped to the bench.

This was Lo Celso's first goal since making the move to north London in the summer, with the 23-year-old making just six appearances for Spurs so far this season in all competitions, prior to this evening's game.

All of those have been from the bench, with Lo Celso featuring five times in the Premier League and once in the Champions League, in the fixture against Red Star at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But after impressing in the first half in Serbia, some fans have been saying the same thing about Lo Celso and Eriksen, who has largely disappointed so far this season for Spurs, with just one goal in 13 appearances for the Lilywhites amid continued speculation over his long-term future at the club.

And it is clear that some Tottenham fans want to see Lo Celso given more opportunities, as can be seen from their reaction on social media to his display so far this evening.
