
Elementary and junior high schools in Taketa, Oita Prefecture, have resumed classes -- the first in the prefecture -- on Thursday as many other schools remain closed during the coronavirus pandemic.
To avoid the "Three C's" of closed spaces, crowded places, and close-contact settings, at Taketa Elementary School, where there are about 150 students, the desks are placed one meter apart. However, since the classroom was not wide enough, some desks have been pushed into the hallway.
When the masked children saw their wider classroom, they couldn't help but laugh. The laughter of children is sure to help bring back the energy of everyday life.
