Some of the latest cases from Nottingham Magistrates' Court

A woman was banned from driving for three years after she was found guilty of failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.

Rachael Herriott, 30, of Mansfield Road, Blidworth, was convicted at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.

She failed to provide the breath sample after being suspected of driving a vehicle on July 25, 2019.

She received a community order, and is required to pay £90 towards victim services and costs of £110.

A thief pleaded guilty to stealing ladders.

Ashley Snuggs, 33, of Sandringham Court, Mansfield Woodhouse, took the ladders belonging to Solar Maintenance Services, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, on June 6.

He was fined £307, ordered to pay £150 compensation and a victim surcharge of £32.

A 39-year-old man must pay £100 compensation after he assaulted a policeman in a hospital.

Daniel Cattell, of Cambridge Close, Rainworth, was given a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

He has to pay £122 to fund victim services and costs of £85.

He was fined £200 after he breached a suspended sentence for possessing a bladed article and a Bail Act offence.

A fine of £80 was imposed when a man pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis.

Timothy Mason, 34, of Nesbitt Street, Sutton-in-Ashfield, had the Class B drug on him in Barnes Crescent, Sutton-in-Ashfield, on December 3.

He was ordered to pay the fine, £32 towards victim services and costs of £85.

A 66-year-old man pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis.

Gian Hayer, of Goosedale Lane, Bestwood Village, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court.

Hayer was suspected of having driven a vehicle when he was required to give the sample on December 22 last year.

He was fined £500, banned from driving for 14 months, ordered to pay £50 towards victim services and costs of £85.
