Some Man United and Spurs fans are saying the same thing about Andros Townsend's tweet to Palace

Andros Townsend has won a number of supporters among Manchester United fans this afternoon (Monday) after calling out his own club over a social media post.

The Palace winger responded to a video put out by the Eagles' official club account on Twitter, which showed Wilfried Zaha beating Manchester United's Ashley Young twice during the game at Old Trafford on Saturday, which Palace won 2-1.

The club posted the video, accompanied with the words "Wilf had him dancing" earlier on today, with the Eagles still on a high after their first victory against United in the Premier League era.

But Townsend has responded to the club's tweet to call for respect for Young, adding that the 34-year-old former winger should be applauded and not made fun of.

Unsurprisingly, Townsend's message has prompted a response from many football fans, with his tweet causing quite the stir among supporters of his own club and that of Manchester United.

However, the United fans are not the only ones to speak of their respect for Townsend after his tweet, with supporters of the 28-year-old's former club Tottenham Hotspur also having their say on the actions of their ex-player.

And it is fair to say that Townsend has won respect himself among many fans for being critical of his own club on social media.
