Some Green Giant sweetcorn products recalled because tins weren't sealed properly

Some Green Giant sweetcorn products been recalled because some tins have 'faulty seams'.

The improperly sealed tins could lead to harmful bacteria developing inside.

The products being recalled are:

  • Green Giant Sweetcorn 198g - 07/2023 - 2931s, 2941s, 2951s
  • Green Giant Sweetcorn 2 x 198g - 07/2023 - 2941s
  • Green Giant Original Sweet Corn 4 x 198g - 07/2023 - 2931s, 2941s, 2951s

A recall notice reads: "We have been made aware General Mills is recalling Green Giant Original canned sweetcorn 198g including multipacks.

"This is a precautionary measure due to the possible presence of faulty seams, which can introduce bacteria leading to potential food quality and safety issues.

"No other General Mills products are affected by this recall.

"Customers are asked to check any cans that they have at home, if they have the affected best before code / batch codes, these cans should be disposed of. Contact General Mills to receive a full refund.
