Sombre Princes Harry and William walked separately behind their grandfather Prince Philip's coffin at his funeral - after the Queen signed off plans for them to walk apart.
Photos from the funeral showed the brothers 'sandwiched' by cousin Peter Phillips who walked between them as they made their way to St George's Chapel on Saturday.
Following Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to walk away from their roles as working royals, the two brothers were seen together for the first time in a year, as they mourn Prince Philip's death.
The Queen decided on "each and every" detail of Philip's funeral and has insisted that nothing "detract from what the day is about, commemorating the extraordinary life of her husband".
A rift has grown between Harry and William in the run up to Megxit and the two brothers, who were once close, performed their last royal engagement together in March 2020, although they did not speak or make eye contact during the event.
When Philip's coffin is taken into St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, William will move ahead of his brother as the royal family arrives in pairs.
Harry has previously told ITV that he and William were 'on different paths' following reports of the brothers' fall out.
His and Meghan's recent tell-all interview with Oprah earlier this year did not help to mend the rift.
After the couple claimed a senior royal asked how dark Archie's skin would be before his birth, The Duke of Cambridge told reporters "we are not a racist family".
The Queen also ordered senior royals to forgo wearing military uniforms at the funeral.
Harry faced being the only member of the family to be wearing a suit after he was stripped of his honorary ranks when he quit his role as a senior royal.
In February, Harry was stripped of his honorary titles, such as Captain General of the Royal Marines, by the Queen.
This meant he cannot wear corresponding military uniforms.
