Ole Gunnar Solskajer has revealed former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has visited the training ground in recent weeks, along with a number of other former players.
The Norwegian has spoken about how the mood at Carrington has improved since he took over as caretaker manager nearly a year ago and cites the example of former players popping in as an example.
Keane, Patrice Evra, Anderson, Dimitar Berbatov, Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand have all paid visits to their former workplace last week and Solskjaer admitted it adds to the family feel of the club.
"I hadn’t been there [at the training ground], I’d been in once since I left and I didn’t feel that I could go in," Solskjaer said. "But I think last week we’ve had Patrice, Ando. Berba’s been in. Nemanja. Rio. They’re all coming in.
"Roy Keane hasn’t been in to talk to my players…but he has been in. But he hasn’t spoken to my players.
"But that’s a big thing for me and it’s a big thing for me and Mick and Carras, because we’ve been part of this club for so long."
After United's slow start to the season there were plenty of questions over Solskjaer's future and whether or not he was the right man to take the club back to the top and despite some poor results he's never had any doubts over his ability.
He added: "I always had the belief that I could manage this club I wouldn't have taken the job or or said yes if they'd asked me if I had felt I couldn't do it because I owe Man United honesty.
"It's about treating people the right way for me managing this club is treating the staff players anyone the same it doesn't matter which club I'm at that's just my personality.
"Football wise I think I can hod my own when it comes to tactics and stuff but I have a great staff to help me. It's not all about me I'm so glad Mick Phelan came in I've got Carras and Kieran now I have Richard [Hartis] and Mark Dempsey back make them feel I can do the job here and that's happening - and that's why I was never afraid of not being able to handle this."
