Solskjaer explains why Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has given defenders a new problem

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Premier League defenders will have to think twice about showing Mason Greenwood on to his right foot after his stunning strike against Bournemouth.

The 18-year-old struck with lethal finishes on left foot and right against the Cherries to display the precocious talent that has Solskjaer and his staff very excited about his development.

Greenwood's double took him to 15 for the season and his goals came at a crucial time as well, equalising in the first half and then settling United nerves early in the second half after Bournemouth had reduced their arrears to 3-2.

"He is a fantastic goalscorer. The moments he chose the goal, they were very important moments for us," Solskjaer told BT Sport.

"The second one, you know he has a left foot to come inside, but I think defenders will have to think about the right foot as well because he's shown he can score with his right.

"He is a very, very talented boy and we will nurture him and manage him as well as we can and give him more and more minutes."

Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were also on the scoresheet for United, taking their individual tallies to the season for 20, while that front three now has 55 for the season.

But Solskjaer insists there is no competition between his front men, who all striving to fire United up the Premier League table.

"They're on the same team and they're working to one common goal, which is the team. We want to get as high as possible in the table and that's one of the positive things about those forwards, they're good mates and they keep challenging each other," he said.
