The UK arm of a Canadian audio visual and lighting company is opening a new head office.
Solotech, which was established in Montreal after its founders worked on the city's hosting of the 1976 Olympics, has secured the new base at the Connexion II complex on Blythe Valley Park in Solihull. It is due to become fully operational in the coming months.
The company supplies audio, video and lighting rental stock and counts major music festivals such as Download, Isle of Wight and Reading and Leeds among its clients.
In recent years, it has expanded its operations into the corporate, worship and transportation sectors, working on projects at Tottenham Hotspur's stadium and Ascot Racecourse among others.
John Probyn, European head of business development for its live productions division, said: "This new facility gives us an operational advantage by providing efficient workflows that helps us deliver the high-quality projects that our customers have come to expect.
"This great workplace also ensures our staff have modern facilities with the highest health, safety and welfare standards."
UK managing director Bryce Jewell added: "We're delighted to have cut the ribbon on our new UK headquarters. We have seen unprecedented growth in recent years and this gives us the space and environment to keep us on that trajectory.
"Our team is very inspired for what's ahead with our partners and clients.
"The impressive facilities will allow us to provide an environment that will make us an employer of choice for our staff - our most precious resource - and to give our employees access to exceptional production standards and capabilities within Solotech to serve our clients."
Its previous UK head office was in Redditch and it also has staff based in Canada, the US and China, employing more than 2,000 people.
