Soldier Field hasn’t been kind to Bears offense this season

If you’ve been to a Chicago Bears game this season at Soldier Field, chances are you’ve haven’t witnessed much success — and certainly plenty of frustration.

The Bears are 1-2 at home this season, with their only win coming against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. While the Bears offense has struggled wherever it’s gone — aside from Washington — it’s been especially bad at home.

Aside from two garbage-time touchdowns against the New Orleans Saints last Sunday, the Bears have found the endzone just twice this season at home, according to The Athletic’s Kevin Fishbain. Those scores were a Chase Daniel to Tarik Cohen touchdown against the Vikings and Cordarrelle Patterson’s kickoff return touchdown against the Saints.

Chicago’s four touchdowns at home is tied with the Miami Dolphins for the fewest in the NFL.

The Bears offense has been mediocre and downright frustrating this season. For a unit in their second season of Matt Nagy’s offense, the rapid regression has been cause for concern.

Chicago will face an injury-riddled Los Angeles Chargers defense that gives them a chance to find a spark for an otherwise comatose offense.
