Sold out Splendour tickets on StubHub for more than twice face value

Splendour Festival sold out in record time this year with all 25,000 tickets snapped up by yesterday morning (July 15).

Perhaps somewhat inevitably secondhand tickets for the festival on Saturday, July 20, are already being touted on eBay's StubHub website.

Originally priced £56.65 for a general admission adult, one seller on the ticket exchange site is now asking £138.07 - more than twice its face value.

VIP entry, also sold out, is being advertised as £145.80, just over £48 more than its original price.

Perks in the exclusive area include a big screen, private covered seating area and three cash bars including a gin garden. There's also gourmet food and a quality choice of craft ales, tasty cocktails and soft drinks.

Organisers have seriously pulled out all the stops this year as far as the line-up is concerned with Manic Street Preachers, The Specials, All Saints and Rag 'n' Bone Man all booked for the Wollaton Park festival.
