M&S launched the adorable limited edition Easter Percy Pig toys today at 8am online - but shoppers snapped up the stock in record time.
Around 2,000 cuddly toys, which features the iconic Percy Pig character with cute bunny ears, were purchased on www.marksandspencer.com for £15 - proving the Easter version is just as popular as the original festive edition that launched before Christmas.
But now crafty individuals are re-selling the Easter Bunny version of Percy Pig on the popular online marketplace eBay for up to three times the original price - with one person listing the toy for a whopping £50.
Should you want to get your hands on one, don’t panic as there’s still time to pick one up. M&S has confirmed the Easter Bunny Percy Pig will be re-stocked (it is available to pre-order now online) and will also be available in stores. A spokesperson from M&S confirmed; "We hoped fans would enjoy our Easter Bunny Percy as much as the first Christmas edition, but initial sales have exceeded even our expectations. Easter Percy has currently sold out online, so the best option for customers is to look out for him during their next visit in store. Easter Percy is available in over 450 M&S stores across the UK, and stocks are being replenished at regular intervals between now and Easter, so there's still a good chance of getting your mitts on one before they all hop out the door!"
Marks and Spencer first launched the popular soft toy pig back in September 2020, in the midst of the pandemic when the nation needed a hug and some TLC more than ever.
In the lead up to Christmas M&S sold an incredible 10,000 units of the stuffed animal in just one day, and he’s still proving to be just as popular with kids and adults alike - with many desperate to get their hands on one.
The Marks and Spencer website also has an abundance of Percy Pig Easter themed gifts still available online - including an Easter Egg Hunt with Percy Pig kit (£30), Easter Percy Pig Gift Bag (£30) and Percy Pig and Colin the Caterpillar Easter Eggs (£10).
Should you want to treat members of your family to a Percy Pig treat, M&S has launched a 1kg jar of original Percy Pig sweets, which includes his rabbit friends too. The £15 jar includes strawberry, passionfruit and peach flavoured sweets and makes for a gorgeous gift to a friend or family member.
Marks and Spencer have also launched Percy Pig biscuits, sandwiched with tasty raspberry and grape flavoured filling, and presented in a 3D Percy Pig tin featuring fluffy bunny ears for just £5. How cute is that?
Percy Pig is arguably one of the most iconic brands within M&S and growing in popularity by the day - sales of all things Percy Pig shot up by 40% in 2020. And who can resist his face?
