Former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell believes there is no way back at Arsenal for Mesut Ozil.
Ozil has been frozen out at the Emirates Stadium since March, not playing a single game since then due to a dispute over his contract.
The Gunners board are said to be unhappy with the German's £350,000 per week contract and his unwillingness to leave in the summer.
Ozil is said to be determined to see out the last year of his Arsenal deal, hoping to break back into Mikel Arteta's plans.
But former striker Campbell believes that just won't happen, dubbing Ozil as 'yesterday's news'.
"Mesut Ozil is yesterday’s news at the club. There is no chance that he will feature for Arsenal again this season, or ever again," he told The Sun.
"There have been certain things that have gone on, instances where he has gone against the club, so I don’t see where there is any room for him to come back."
The midfielder was recently excluded from Arsenal's Europa League squad, Arteta reasoning: "He wasn't the only one who was not in the squad.
"It is a really difficult decision for me to make because to leave players out of the squad at that level, where they know they cannot get involved, is really tough.
"I don't like it at all, but the decision had to be made because we have an excess of foreign players. Unfortunately, we had to make that decision."
Ozil has been at the Emirates Stadium since the summer of 2013, making more than 200 appearances in all competitions.
But it seems he could well depart next summer with his contract up and relations not exactly smooth between him and Arsenal board.
