Mikel Arteta has insisted that Arsenal know what to expect when they face Olympiacos in Greece in the Europa League.
The Gunners have travelled to Athens to face the Greek side, who faced Arsenal's north London rivals Tottenham in the group stage of the Champions League earlier this season.
In that game, Olympiacos came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Spurs, while they have a good record at home in European competition in recent seasons.
And the Gunners' head coach says that Greek defender Sokratis has made his team-mates aware of what they can expect when they take on Olympiacos.
“It’s another big competition for us," Arteta said, speaking at his pre-match press conference.
"We know the type of game we can expect tomorrow, Papa [Sokratis] has made us aware of that, and we have to be ready.
"He knows everything about Olympiacos and what we are going to find here.
“Collectively they seem very alive with a clear idea of what they what to do. They don’t play in relation to the opponent That’s what I like the most.”
Meanwhile, Sokratis has also spoken about what it will mean to play at Olympiacos' Karaiskakis Stadium, with the Greek side winning three of their last four home games against Arsenal in Europe.
“We have prepared in a special way for this fixture and of course our goal is winning," the 31-year-old said.
“I have had these discussions. We know everything about how Olympiacos will be. We will play against a team who will be focused on winning."
