Sokratis tells Arsenal teammates how many more points they need to make top four

Arsenal defender Sokratis insists Unai Emery's men must win at least four of their remaining six games to make the top four.

The Gunners suffered more away day misery on Sunday as they lost to Everton .

Phil Jagielka scored the only goal of the game at Goodison Park to continue Arsenal's woeful record of not keeping a clean sheet on the road all season.

They remain in fourth with six games to go and are set to battle it out with Tottenham , Chelsea and Manchester United for two spots.

The Greek defender has issued a warning to his teammates over what they must do in the final weeks of the season.

Arsenal given huge boost in pursuit of defensive target

Asked if the away form was becoming a mental hurdle, Sokratis said: "I don't think so because if you see big teams like United and Chelsea they also lost a lot of points

"It is very difficult. We are in the Premier League and the other teams are strong.

"I don't have a reason. Other teams are the same, some days good, some days bad. We have to improve and look towards the next game.

Arsenal urged to sign Premier League new boy as Aaron Ramsey replacement

"But I think we didn't have the same fight (as Everton) so we didn't win a lot of battles and we conceded a goal which was a little bit easy.

"We need to win at least another four games and then we will see if we are in the top four."

Sokraris will miss Arsenal's next two matches, against Watford and Crystal Palace , after picking up his 10th booking of the season in the defeat at Goodison Park.

He added: "Of course (it is frustrating). I like to play every game, to be there to help the team but it is not in my hands," he added.

"I hope that Laurent Koscielny is coming back."
