A man has been charged after two people were stabbed in knife attacks in London’s West End and Camden.

Joe Gynane, 34, was charged with two counts of attempted murder in connection with the stabbings on Sunday morning.

He was also charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

A 37-year-old man was attacked in Romilly Street, Soho, at around 6am. He remains in a life-threatening condition in hospital.

A boy, 16, who was stabbed in Camden at 11.36am on the same day also remains in hospital.

His injuries are no longer life-threatening, Scotland Yard said.

Gynane, of no fixed address, will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
