A few months back, I stockpiled my annual leave days to travel around India for three weeks.
I started in the north, saw the unique dance-off ceremony at the Pakistan border, braved the chaotic, lawless roads in Delhi, visited one of the wonders of the world in Agra, bartered at the bazaar in Jaipur and ended up in Mumbai for the last leg of the tour. And by this time, I was completely exhausted.
Luckily, I had foresight that this would be the case and booked in for the luxury of Soho House’s India bolthole. It’s a design enthusiast's paradise, but what won me over was the pillows.
With their cloud-like, sink-right-in feel, my first order of business after a restorative, sound night of slumber was to rip off the pillowcase and find out exactly what cosy, feather-filled vessel had assisted in my glorious eight hours. And, unsurprisingly, they are part of the Soho Home collection.
So, on returning to UK soil, I knew I had to recreate the opulence of my stay and add the pillow to my collection.

I prefer a softer pillow, so I opted for the medium, which includes the aforementioned in a ratio of 70 to 30 in an entirely cotton casing - and I was not disappointed with the plush piece. While it is hard to recreate the hotel-level comfort (I’m far too lazy to iron my sheets), I will be systematically replacing my old pillows with the glorious House Goose Down.
