Software firm ClassForKids expands into full floor of revamped Glasgow office

Specialist software company ClassForKids is expanding into new office space at 180 West George Street in Glasgow.

The firm, which develops management software for children's clubs, is moving from St Vincent Street to take up the entire 7,900 sq ft third floor of the building.

ClassForKids helps clubs and schools for dance, music and other activities to manage membership and schedules, as well as host classes online.

They join tenants including Aberdeen Standard, Arcadis, Pennisula Business Services, Mathworks and PageGroup.

Owner Picton recently completed an extensive refurbishment of the offices and has provided cycle and changing/welfare facilities, a new look reception area and improved connectivity. The final available floor of the building is being refurbished and will be available by Q3 2020.

Knight Frank and Ryden represented Picton on the deal, while Lapsley McManus acted on behalf of ClassForKids.

Sarah Hagen, office agency associate at Knight Frank Glasgow, said: “The extensive refurbishment of 180 West George Street is paying off by attracting a range of high quality occupiers. West George Street is experiencing a superb renaissance with occupiers being spoiled by its accessibility to Queen Street and Central stations but also the wealth of amenities both in this building and on its doorstep.

"The addition of a successful, growing business like ClassForKids to 180 West George Street is great news for the building.”

Tim Hamlin at Picton added: “We are delighted to welcome ClassForKids to 180 West George Street and wish them a successful occupation in the building. We are committed to continuing our investment in the building, enhancing the reception and first floor by adding to what is an attractive open plan, modern workplace, and we look forward to welcoming more businesses to the property.”
