Soft play centres in the Belfast area for kids to enjoy over half-term

With half-term on the way, it can be stressful trying to figure out how to keep the children entertained on their time off.

As the weather still remains unpredictable, it can be harder to think of ideas that will keep them on their toes and off their devices while away from school.

If your little ones fancy a bit of rumble and tumble, soft play areas are the perfect solution to burn off any of that extra energy while giving them a day out to remember.

Here are some soft play areas in Belfast or nearby for you to try this half-term:

Funky Monkeys

There is a centre located at the Kennedy Centre on Falls Road, in Cityside Retail Park at York Street and at East Point Entertainment Village in Dundonald.

Explore a jungle kingdom of climbing frames, ropes, slides and soft obstacles for kids up to the age of 8.

The Wee Playhouse

The soft play area at Argyle Business Centre (The Wee Playhouse)

An indoor soft play area for children up to eight years of age at Argyle Business Centre in Belfast.

They say: "Our aim is to provide a fun and safe environment for children to explore and learn. Plus make new friends and most of all to play and have fun!"

Indiana Land

At Dundonald International Ice Bowl and operates a height restriction of 5ft and an age restriction of 12 years.

Must be booked online. For babies and toddlers, there is also a separate play area where they can explore different shapes and textures.

Funworks

Located in Glenogormley, Funworks has a huge play frame crammed full of energetic activities.

There is also a special area just for younger children with extra padded surfaces and loads of squishy toys and features, plus access to their own little section of play frame.

Roar and Explore

Roar and Explore in Dunmurry (Roar and Explore/ Facebook)

A fun-filled soft play area located at Dairy Farm Shopping Centre in Dunmurry.

Maximum age for admission is 10. Opens 9.30am to 6pm every day.

It is a social enterprise with all profits being reinvested back into the area and community.

Funtastic

Located in Carryduff Business Park and is suitable for kids up to age 11.

It also features a 'Mayhem Laser Area' and an under-threes area for toddlers.
