Something special
It's Friday and I thought it's time that this blog offered something straightforwardly charming, upbeat and inspiring. So click here to see a fantastic clip of The Specials performing their classic song Message to you Rudy with a group of children aged 5-11 from a pupil referral unit in Leicestershire. The new version of the ska standard they have recorded together will raise money for Haiti earthquake disaster relief.
The pupils, from Moel Llys short stay school, have emotional and behavioural difficulties. School headteacher Jonathan Read said:
"The children we work with are often misunderstood and we hope that this new release can in a small way show the positive contribution that young children who are experiencing difficulties can make."
Indeed. Now please buy the song. Just 79p on i-tunes. Proceeds in aid of the UNICEF relief effort
