Dangerous drivers have been caught behaving badly after seemingly using social media to brag about their stunts.
Several incidents of illegal behaviour have been bought to ACT police's attention after members of the public have viewed videos posted by drivers online.
Police have pointed to a YouTube video of a car meet in Canberra with about 14000 views as an example of the type of content leading to arrests.
Detective Inspector Donna Hofmeier said police were currently examining recent videos posted online, following an increase in hoon behaviour.
"Over the next couple of weeks, some of the people shown breaking traffic laws can expect to receive infringement notices," she said.
Inspector Hofmeier said in the past week police had witnessed a range of illegal activity, including drivers failing to stop at intersections, excessive speeding, driving on the wrong side of the road and failing to stop for police.
Road users were lucky to avoid a collision on Sunday after a 25-year-old disqualified driver travelled directly at police on the wrong side of the road in Page, police said.
Inspector Hofmeier said members of the public were encouraged to contact police if they came across footage of illegal behaviour on the roads.
"Please let police know about dangerous driving behaviour when you witness it," Inspector Hofmeier said.

"If you have dash cam footage you can provide that to us to assist in building a picture of a driver's behaviour."
Police will be targeting dangerous behaviour on Canberra's roads during May, with a focus on hoon behaviour and burnout activity.
Inspector Hofmeier urged drivers to slow down this week given the wet weather.
"I am begging motorists to slow down and drive to conditions because the last thing we want to do is attend another fatal accident or attend another serious accident and have to knock on another family's door and destroy their worlds," she said.
