Social media reacts to Virgin Media's new 'The Line Out' rugby entertainment show

Virgin Media's new rugby entertainment show 'The Line-Out' premiered tonight as the all-star show kicked off with a host of legends of the game as well as celebrity guests.

The show was hosted by Muireann O'Connell and Andrew Trimble tonight - with Greg O'Shea missing from the premiere due to Ireland Rugby 7's commitments.

Rob Kearney was on the couch as the show kicked off, with comedian Julie Jay and legendary coach Matt Williams also following the Leinster star as hosts Trimble and O'Connell ran the show.

Brian O'Driscoll featured, as well as O'Shea in pre-recorded interviews as the show's refreshing focus on entertainment, rather than the on-field side of the game, seemed to invoke a mixed response from fans tonight.

And fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the new show:
