Social media was full of praise for Katie Taylor following her victory over Natasha Jonas on Saturday night.
The undisputed lightweight champion successfully defended her WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF belts against the Liverpudlian in Manchester.
She had to dig deep as herself and Jonas battled it out in a fight of the year contender.
Almost nine years after their 2012 Olympics bout, which Taylor won on her way to winning gold, Jonas was denied revenge as she lost via unanimous decision.
The three judges scored the bout 96-94, 96-95, 96-95 in favour of the Irishwoman.
Rugby star Rob Kearney tweeted after the fight: "To still have that speed after 10 rounds is insanely impressive."
RTE's Des Cahill said: "What a woman! Well done @KatieTaylor - brilliant last couple of rounds! The tension here was unreal..."
Rory's Stories posted: "If ever there was someone you want your children to look up to. Katie Taylor . Legend."
Bray Wanderers tweeted: "Never. In. Doubt. @KatieTaylor #WicklowsFinest #IrelandsGreatest."
Boxer Jason Quigley added: "Massive congrats @KatieTaylor the heart and determination she showed at the end of each round just shows you why she so special, forever doing this country proud."
