Social media picks Rhys Ruddock as the standout player for Ireland in win over Russia

Ireland still have plenty of questions to answers after beating Ireland 35-0 Russia in the Rugby World today.

After a shock loss to the hosts Japan last weekend, Joe Schmidt's side needed to score four tries and bag a bonus point today.

Tries from Rob Kearney, Peter O'Mahony, Rhys Ruddock, Andrew Conway and Garry Ringrose got the job done.

It was a sloppy second-half performance though that has many wondering if this team is good enough to go beyond the quarter-final for the first time.

But social media users believe the one man who definitely stuck his hand up for selection was Leinster lock Rhys Ruddock.

The 28-year-old got through a huge amount of work and always seemed to get Ireland on the front foot with the ball in hand.
