A woman whose social media post about Julia Gillard's iconic misogyny speech went viral, is about to meet the former prime minister - live on TikTok, of course.
Abby Hansen posted a video miming Ms Gillard's words just under a year ago.
It has since been viewed 1.5 million times.
She made the video shortly after joining TikTok in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, posting using the name @minorfauna.
"I feel like all of Australia joined, TikTok was the thing that saved us," Ms Hansen told AAP.
The Adelaide-based midwife says she's excited and nervous to be interviewing one of her idols, and has asked her TikTok followers to suggest questions.
She says she remembers well the gender-based criticism Gillard was subjected to as the first female prime minister of Australia.
"Male politicians don't get comments about how they look and their style," Ms Hansen said.
"During all of that she held herself with so much dignity and was so courageous."
Ms Gillard fired off the "misogyny" speech on the floor of the house in response to criticism from Tony Abbott, more than eight years ago.
"I will not be lectured about sexism and misogyny by this man," she said.
"Because if he wants to know what misogyny looks like in modern Australia, he doesn't need a motion in the House of Representatives, he needs a mirror."
Ms Gillard says she is surprised but pleased that huge numbers of people are still listening to those words on the video-sharing platform.
