City volunteer matching scheme extended to social enterprises
A City-based scheme that matches charities with corporate volunteers is extending the programme to include social enterprises, reports Third Sector. City Action allows city-based business to send volunteers to work with community organisations in the city and in neighbouring boroughs.

Beeston empty homes conference looks to social ventures
More than 100 people, including TV architect and government empty homes adviser George Clarke, came together in Beeston to explore how to bring back into use some of the 5,000 long-term empty homes across the city, reports South Leeds Life. The event was organised by Leeds-based social enterprise Social Business Broker.
