Grameen Bank Act gets cabinet final nod
Daily Star: The cabinet on Monday finally approved the draft of Grameen Bank Amendment Act 2012 to appoint the managing director of the microcredit organisation. The approval came 11 days after President Zillur Rahman promulgated an ordinance amending the Grameen Bank Ordinance, 1983 giving absolute powers to the government-appointed chairman to choose a managing director for the micro lender.
