Economic Times - Social entreprises H3F gain business by training uneducated youth for organised industries

Eighteen-year-old Chandu Marati worked at construction sites and washed dishes in small, roadside hotels in the remote Gorentla village in Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh. He now not only speaks fluent English, but can also easily operate a computer. This transformation in his life was made possible by a social enterprise and education start-up , Head Held High Foundation (H3F). H3F, founded by entrepreneurs Madan Padaki, Rajesh Bhat, Samik Ghosh and Sunil Savara, creates skilled talent pool in villages and finds them assured placement in industries such as business process outsourcing (BPO).

Plymouth Herald - Enterprises that benefit community

A scheme to train young people as bicycle mechanics, another that teaches car valetting to disabled people and a photographic archive will vie for the Social Enterprise category at The Herald Business Awards. This honour will go to a business, with primarily social objectives, where surpluses are reinvested for that purpose or in the community, rather than it being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and investors.

Your Local Guardian - Budding entrepreneurs get business backing

A group of boys have bagged £1,500 of business support to create a waterproof protector spray. The four boys aged 16 and 17 from team SG and Barrows, won the cash at the Step Up Stand Out motivational event on March 9. The day was organized by award winning Social Enterprise PJ's Community Service in celebration of 20 years service to the community and Youth Organization Youth Enlightenment Limited celebrating 5 years service to young people.

West Briton - Social enterprise to expand with grant

A Redruth housing estate formerly labelled a problem area has won an £80,000 Big Lottery grant. The money will allow the resident-driven Redruth North Partnership to continue its work for another year. The main aim is to expand its social enterprise company, Greenfingers Cornwall Ltd, and provide work for local unemployed youngsters.
