Summary
Hackney Laces is a community football club for girls. We're not your standard football club. In fact, we don't even call ourselves an 'FC'. We're a CC: a community club. In addition to playing football we do all kinds of projects in the community.
Players that join Hackney Laces are also given the opportunity to take courses (football related and non-football related), learn new skills and get involved in the running of the club.
Each week in addition to training the girls will have the opportunity to take part in an activity, skills session or volunteering activity.
We are currently in the process of converting into a community benefit society by which any person can become a part-owner of the club.
Mission
To encourage more young women (12-17) to participate in football and inspire them to pursue their goals and aspirations - both football and non-football related.
To provide learning and personal development opportunities for the players.
To let the football club be co-owned and run by the community.
