Summary
The principle activity of Excluded Ltd is to make computer music accessible to excluded groups. We primarily work with the homeless, recruiting our client through the hostel services, but our client net extends to ex-offenders, people with health conditions – mental or physical and single parents on low incomes. We facilitate music production software/hardware, catering from entry level up to a professional standard. We do this with a 'not for profit' record deal and a mobile studio. The facilitation of the studio can be either as an engineering service where we simply record, mix and master a clients music or give tuition of the software/hardware.
Excluded has found talented and worthy people within the hostel community and, by providing inclusion to our project, we have assisted people in finding focus and direction in there lives. Excluded starts here and our net widens to people with disabilities such as schizophrenia, aspergus, also ethnicity and long term unemployed.
Former clients have gone on to become performing musicians, sound engineers, DJs or create similar projects. By providing mentoring and buddying and creating a network, Excluded gives them something to be proud of.
We have worked with repeat offenders who now are contributing members of society because we spent time with them, helping them 'achieve a dream'. The end product represents our artists in the world of media, a step in the right direction to pursue potential publishing deals.
