Soccer goalkeeper has a true nightmare moment and someone give this man a hug

Hertha Berlin are in 15th place in the Bundesliga, fighting hard to stay out of the relegation zone, so they were surely delighted to be holding giants Dortmund to a 0-0 draw in the 54th minute of their match on Saturday.

And then their goalkeeper forgot how to use his arms at a really, really inopportune moment.

Dortmund’s Julian Brandt had the ball about 25 yards out, when he decided to shoot on net. He got decent power on the ball, and it did dip and swerve a bit, so at first glance it just looked like he had a nice shot and goal.

Then you watched the second replay, and you realize that the goalkeeper Rune Jarstein just straight up melted down.

It’s bizarre to watch on the replay, as you can see Jarstein appear to be telling his body what to do, but for whatever reason it just doesn’t quite get the message. It’s like a malfunction or something.

Anyway, we all have meltdowns, buddy. I have them regularly. Chin up.

Also, Dortmund ended up winning 2-0.
