Soccer fans roasted UEFA over the Europa League Final’s absurd camera angle

Little made sense about UEFA’s decision to hold the 2019 Europa League Final in Baku, Azerbaijan. Much of the match’s buildup discussed Baku’s inability to accommodate visiting fans, thousands of unsold tickets and an 11 p.m. local kickoff time.

But it managed to get even worse come game time.

When fans tuned in to watch Wednesday’s final between Chelsea and Arsenal, viewers were treated to a camera angle that was so high up that player numbers were indistinguishable.

When the lack of atmosphere and green tarped-over track were taken into account, this match had the looks of a late-summer friendly. Fans were not particularly pleased at all about the match’s presentation.
