Soccer fans are rightfully irate at FIFA over awful mistake with Women’s World Cup tickets

The Women’s World Cup begins next month in France… and it’s already off to a bad start.

And FIFA is to blame, of course.

Fans who bought tickets to the games are just finding out now that the tickets that they bought might not be next to each other, which is kind of a big deal when you buy tickets to go with others to a sporting event. Especially if you’re spending a good amount of money to travel all the way to France to see the games with family, friends, or whomever.

It would probably be nice to sit next to those people.

But that apparently isn’t going to be the case for many fans because of a mistake by FIFA when the tickets went on sale:

However, an exception could be made for parents whose seats are not next to the seats of their underage children (18 years old and younger).

Why assign seats at all then? It’s going to devolve into some kind of General Admission hybrid mayhem. They should have learned from what happened at the Men’s World Cup.
