Soccer Aid 2022: Date, TV start time, kick-off, channel and teams

If you thought the World Cup was going to be the biggest sporting event of the year then think again because Soccer Aid is back. The charity football match will once again see former footballers, singers, actors, and more are set to take to the pitch as England try and claw back a win from the World XI FC side.

Unlike last year, this year's fixture won't be played in Manchester but instead be hosted at the London Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford.

One thing that hasn't changed, however, is that it all for a good cause. Soccer Aid will again be raising money for UNICEF to help with its mission of providing vaccines, tackling malnutrition and protecting children in times of crisis, such as the conflict in Ukraine.

Since its creation in 2006, by singer Robbie Williams and entertainer Jonathan Wilkes, Soccer Aid has raised more than £60 million for Unicef, which helps to provide aid to children worldwide. The former Take That star is set to return to the event, but remain off the pitch. He is expected to perform his famous hit 'Angels' as part of a half-time show at the big charity match.

Off-pitch, UNICEF UK Ambassador Dermot O’Leary returns as presenter, joined by Maya Jama providing her thoughts as a pundit. To bring you the action up-close, Alex Scott will be returning as pitch-side reporter.

So without further ado, here's everything you need to know about Soccer Aid 2022 - from when it takes place to how to watch on TV and the full team line-ups.
