Soccer Aid 2020: Names confirmed for England and World XI in charity event

Star names such as Usain Bolt and Olly Murs will return to take part in Soccer Aid for Unicef 2020 at Old Trafford on Saturday June 6.

An England XI will take on World XI in what is sure to be another fiercely competitive encounter at the home of Manchester United .

Popstar Robbie Williams joined Bolt and Murs to announce the news in a 60-second video, and to confirm that tickets are now on sale for the event.

A number of new faces will take to the pitch to make their Soccer Aid debuts, including comedians Tom Davis, Joel Dommett, Mo Gilligan and Russell Howard.

Patrice Evra will return to Old Trafford for the game (PA)

United legend Patrice Evra will also feature, along with United Women's manager Casey Stone, while Sam Allardyce will take charge of the England side, with Harry Redknapp in the opposite dugout.

Speaking about the event, Williams said: "It is a privilege to be part of this game. I've been to parts of the world where this money goes and seen how desperately the assistance is needed by children- it brought me to tears."

Bolt added: "This will be the third time I have played in Soccer Aid for Unicef- I've won one and lost one, so this is the best of three! Playing at Old Trafford is extremely special."

Olly Murs will also return after missing last year's game (PA)

And Murs, who missed out on last year's event after undergoing knee surgery, said: "It hurt so much watching the game last year, seeing the Soccer Aid World XI FC take back the shield. I'm determined that won't happen this year at Old Trafford with me back playing for England again."

Usain Bolt scored last year as World XI won (PA)

Since 2006 Soccer Aid has raised over £38m. Family tickets are available for £60 while half of all tickets are available for £20 or under.

Olly Murs, Danny Jones, Casey Stoney, Kelly Smith, Lee Mack, Tom Davis, Joel Dommett and Russell Howard.
