Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has lauded Paris Saint-Germain as the "best team in the world" after they beat his Gunners on penalties in a nerve-wracking final to become back-to-back Champions League winners.
It was a heart-breaking near-miss for Premier League champions Arsenal as defender Gabriel Magalhaes fired the last of his team's penalties over the bar to hand PSG a 4-3 shootout victory at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on Saturday.
The game was poised at 1-1 at the end of regulation time and extra-time, sending the game to spot-kicks.
Arsenal had led after six minutes when Kai Havertz broke away and blasted past PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov.
But the defending champions dominated possession and Ousmane Dembélé levelled from the penalty spot to take the final to extra time for the first time in 10 years.
