Soap star agent and author Melanie Blake has been left shaken after having £100,000 worth of jewellery and designer bags stolen.
The best-selling author of the books Ruthless Women and The Thunder Girls had some of her jewels and five Chanel handbags stolen.
Melanie, who recently moved into a new home in north London, has been forced to upgrade her security and move remaining valuables to a safe deposit box.
Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of the alleged thief but have yet to make an arrest reports the Sun.
Among the pieces of jewellery stolen were an 18 carat Columbian emerald ring and a pair of 1980s Cartier gold and diamond earrings which she wore in the ad campaign for her latest book Ruthless Women.
Melanie, who has managed a long line of stars including famous faces from Coronation Street, Eastenders and Emmerdale, has appealed on Twitter for the return of her jewels.
She tweeted: "If anyone see’s any of my stolen jewellery please dm me & if it leads to it being returned - they’ll be a reward x"
Melanie, who grew up in Stockport, had an Amazon number one bestseller with Thunder Girls released in 2019 about the music industry, which was made into a sell-out theatre production starring Coronation Street star Beverley Callard and Loose Women panellist Coleen Nolan.
Her second book, lifting the lid on life in the TV soap industry, became a Sunday Times bestseller when it was released earlier this year.
The bonkbuster novel is based on two decades she spent behind the scenes in the entertainment industry working her way up from an extra on Coronation Street and EastEnders to becoming one of the nation's most powerful TV agents.
She has represented hundreds of the most famous faces on British television including Corrie legend Beverley Callard, Michelle Collins, Sherrie Hewson and Amanda Barrie, Emmerdale icon Claire King and EastEnders stars Danniella Westbrook, Gillian Taylforth and Nadia Sawalha.
Melanie, 44, was behind Claire King's return to Emmerdale as bad girl Kim Tate after 20 years, Daniella's Westbrook's EastEnders' comeback as Sam Mitchell in 2009 after a nine year absence and Kathy Beale's return from the dead plot twist in the BBC One soap.
Melanie, who was in the Rovers Return on the day the hell-raising Battersby clan arrived on Coronation Street, stepped into the role of agent after comforting Sherrie Hewson on the day she was axed from the soap in 1997.
