Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine wowed fans recently when she revealed a new slimmed-down look.
The 37-year-old actress, who plays Fiz Brown on the ITV soap, revealed her weight-loss secrets after dropping three dress sizes.
"I don’t go in for all the diet plans and worrying yourself silly over how much you weigh," she told the Mirror.
"Ice cream is bad, salad is good – it’s not rocket science."
The mum-of-two has grown up on screen over the years, with Coronation Street viewers watching the star since she first appeared on the long running show as a teenager in 2001.
The Corrie favourite isn't the only soap star to alter their appearance over the years.
From Hollyoaks to Emmerdale, we take a look at some famous faces from Britain's favourite shows who shared their weight loss secrets with their fans.
Catherine Tyldesley
Catherine Tyldesley rose to fame back in 2011 when she was introduced to Coronation Street viewers as loveable barmaid Eva Price.
With her stunning looks, the 37-year-old actress won a legion of admirers as she starred in the ITV soap for seven years.
However, the mum-of-one revealed to fans that she almost didn't nearly make it in the entertainment industry, as prior to landing her Corrie role a casting director told the then 15 stone star that she would "never be a leading lady" - a comment that spurred her on to drop five dress sizes.
"When I look at pictures of myself from that time, it doesn't look like me. I was a different person," Catherine told The Mirror in 2017.
The star, who was once a size 22, added: "I actually keep a picture from when I was big on my phone to remind myself just how far I've come."
Alan Halsall

Elsewhere on the cobbles, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has also wowed fans over the years with his impressive fitness transformation.
As viewers noted that Alan's character Tyronne Dobbs looking noticeably slimmer on screen, the 38-year-old took to social media to share the results of a recent health kick in 2018.
The actor, who has been a part of the Coronation Street cast for over two decades, proudly showed off his slimmed-down physique on Instagram with a shirtless snap while on holiday in Ibiza.

The dad-of-one told fans he had been working out with a personal trainer for "four or five months" as he unveiled his new body.
The Corrie favourite also revealed that he sometimes enjoys a work out with co-stars, including Colson Smith who plays Craig Tinker on the hit ITV show.
Posting on Instagram back in 2018, Alan shared a picture of him lifting weights alongside his Corrie colleague.
“Trying to work out whilst laughing at @colsonjsmith having fun & working hard," he captioned the snap.
Gemma Atkinson

Former Hollyoaks star Gemma Atkinson is well known for her love of the gym and fitness training.
The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant has been strength training for the past decade and regularly shares her progress with fans on social media.
"Before and after I started strength training. Same happy me 10 years apart! I’ve always been happy in my own skin even though my shape has clearly changed in these pictures, I was happy in both," the 36-year-old captioned a before and after snap on Instagram in 2020.

"Obviously the physical difference is clear to see, I got me some biceps. But the main difference, the most important difference between them, you can’t see. Although I didn’t see it at the time, in the first picture I was far from healthy."
"My skin is better, my sleep is better, I have more energy, I’m physically and mentally stronger which puts me in a great headspace to be the best mum and partner I can be," the mum-of-one added when looking back on her transformation.
Colson Smith
Cruelly dubbed "the fat kid from Corrie", Colson Smith has shed a huge amount of weight since first appearing in the soap as a child in August 2011, playing Craig Tinker on the ITV soap.
As well as sharing progress pictures of his weight-loss, the young actor has also opened up about the vile trolling he received over the years due to his appearance.
"I wanted to learn about my character, about my acting, and see if they liked it," the 22-year-old told Radio 1 Newsbeat earlier this year.
"But the comments I saw, and the comments which stuck with me, were about the way I look.
"That was something that I've had every single day of my life for the past 10 years and I will continue to have throughout my career."
Colson has released a documentary about his journey, titled Bored of Being The Fat Kid.
While Colson hopes to help others in a similar situation to him, he also hopes that people will start offering more sensitive compliments when commenting on someone's body.
"Be supportive, do congratulate someone, do talk to them about it, but follow up the conversation," he suggested.
"Rather than saying: 'You look loads better,' ask: 'How you feeling? How you finding it? Are you still going strong?'"
Lisa Riley

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley made a name for herself playing Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap between 1995 and 2001, winning a National Television Awards for Most Popular Newcomer for her work during her first year in the Yorkshire Dales.
When the Loose Women presenter, 45, returned to the soap in 2018, she looked drastically different to how viewers first saw her on screen.
Over the course of a couple of years, the actress shed 12 stone, going from a size 28 dress size to a slender size 14.

In 2017 she filmed a documentary detailing her weight loss titled Lisa’s Baggy Body Club.
During the film, the star opened up about her transformation which led her to undertake a tummy tuck and surgery to remove the loose skin from her legs and arms
“I feel like a balloon that’s had all its helium taken out," Lisa told the cameras.
While her surgery left her with scars, the actress confesses that it was worth it as she now feels happier and healthier.
