So who will be next? Fans speculate on interviewees for Piers Morgan's new show

With the bombshell news breaking last night (April 20) that Piers Morgan has sat down for an interview with former President of the United States, Donald Trump, the tone has been set for the fame and controversy-levels of guests we might be able to expect to appear on Piers's new show, Piers Morgan Uncensored, which is set to air with the Trump interview on April 25 on TalkTV.

Last night (April 20) before the Trump-announcement, Piers teased followers on Twitter with a silhouetted head-shape and invited them to guess who he would be interviewing on the show before revealing it would be Trump.

A guessing game began in the comments below, with tweets suggesting who people thought might be making an appearance. One tweeted: "I am hoping for Trump, Britney, Kanye or the Pope," and another said: "Zelenskyy?" and followed up with a second tweet saying: "(Hope it’s Meghan though)".

Other tweets suggested: Sammy Markle (the Duchess of Sussex's sister), Prince Harry or Ghislaine Maxwell. Wehave to admit, we'd probably tune in to watch any of these. Trump is going to be hard to top in the controversy-stakes but we have high hopes for the series.

Piers Morgan was on Lorraine this morning, but characteristically ended the interview by storming off the set. A notoriously hard interviewer himself, Piers might have thought he was in for an easy ride with Lorraine this morning but the Scottish presenter gave him a run for his money with both their voices raised as they hammered out the detail of the, now infamous, moment Piers stormed off the set of Good Morning Britain, following a row with weather presenter Alex Beresford over the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey. At the time, Piers said he did not believe Meghan Markle's claims of mental health problems in the interview, and his comments received the most complaints to Ofcom it its history.

Lorraine said: "It was your fault though, because you stormed out. If you hadn't walk out then it wouldn't have happened." To which Piers replied: "I didn't walk out," causing Lorraine to yell: "You did!" Piers continued: "Play the video of me storming back in. I went back in that day. I went back in and I finished that show. And then I chose not to apologise and to leave,"

Lorraine then gestures: "You can toddle off now," to which Piers stands up and shouts, "I'm storming off!" as he exits the set and concludes the interview. "He can't help himself," says Lorraine but seemingly it was all in jest. Does anyone leave the set normally when Piers is around? Apparently not.
