So many people climbed Pen Y Fan on Good Friday - this is what happened at the top

If you thought the queues of cars at the bottom of Pen y Fan were bad, look at the one at the top.

The good weather brought thousands of people out on Good Friday to the Brecon Beacons to make the climb.

Alan Dawson took this picture of the "orderly queue" of climbers waiting to have their picture taken at the summit.

He tagged it #onlyinbritain.

Motorists lined both sides of the A470 as they struggled to find a place to park up.

As the sun shone down on daytrippers on one of the hottest days of the year so far, it is hard to believe that this picture was taken near the top of the mountain just two weeks ago.

Elsewhere, it is busy on many roads around Wales.
