'So long as it isn't Man Utd' - Leeds United fans react as Erling Haaland seals transfer

Erling Haaland has agreed a deal with Borussia Dortmund — despite continued speculation linking with a move to Manchester United.

Dortmund have won the race to sign the Leeds-born 19-year-old striker who has impressed for Austrian side RB Salzburg this season.

United, according to recent reports in the English media, had been tracking Haaland ahead of a potential January move, but the Norwegian will now be heading to Germany next month.

The teenager, who is a boyhood Leeds United fan,  has impressed in the Champions League this year, scoring eight times in Europe – a record only beaten by Robert Lewandowski – including strikes in five consecutive games.

Haaland’s form has led to a number of the continent’s top sides being linked with a move for the striker, with United seen by many as his most likely destination, where he could link back up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who gave him his professional debut at Molde.

But on Sunday afternoon, the German outfit confirmed that they had won the race to sign the son of former Whites star Alf-Inge Haaland.

And below is a round-up of Leeds fans reacting to the news on Twittter.
