'So frustrating' - Manchester United fans annoyed with Anthony Martial absence vs Crystal Palace

Erik ten Hag has named his starting line-up for Manchester United's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, with forward Anthony Martial once again missing through injury.

The Reds signed Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer on loan until the end of the season, with the Austrian international arriving on transfer deadline day. The 28-year-old was recruited late on deadline day, with Christian Eriksen sidelined with an injury until the end of April at the earliest.

On the pitch, United cruised past Nottingham Forest in midweek to secured their spot in the Carabao Cup final with a 5-0 aggregate victory. Ten Hag's men will face Newcastle United in the final later this month, hoping to win the club's first trophy since 2017. For now, though, focus is on Premier League action - and the Dutchman has named a strong side to take on Crystal Palace.

With Martial out injured, Wout Weghorst once again leads the line for United against Palace. The Frenchman has made just 14 appearances for the Reds so far this season, but has still registered six goals. However, he has really struggled with injuries this term.

United have the opportunity to move up to third in the Premier League table with a win or draw against Palace, with Newcastle not playing until later in the day. Considering that - and the main aim being Champions League qualification - it is unsurprising that Ten Hag has gone as strong as possible.

It is the absence of Martial in the squad that has attracted the most attention from United's supporters in the immediate aftermath of the team news being confirmed.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some of United's supporters have had to say in response to the striker once again being out of action...

United starting line-up: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Fred, Fernandes; Antony, Weghorst, Rashford.

Substitutes: Heaton, Maguire, Lindelof, Malacia, Dalot, Sabitzer, Sancho, Garnacho, Mainoo.

Saturday afternoon's contest kicks-off at 3pm and you can follow all of the action on our live matchday blog, which you can access by clicking here.
